I had initially planned on writing today about a story of how the SEC is employing what could only be described as thuggery and intimidation tactics against a small credit ratings firm that has dared to pursue the truth.
The thought also crossed my mind of addressing a long overdue suit against another of Wall Street’s giants for propagating fraud within the mortgage origination business. Are the regulators and prosecutors aware it is almost 2013 and that they are years late in pursuing justice on this front?
Why is it that when I think about both of these fiascoes and so much more, I feel that the powers that be in Washington and New York attempt to foist upon us a reality that could only be equated to The Twilight Zone. The lies, the perversions, and the daily stream of garbage that emanate from the political and financial power bases can be overwhelming if we were actually to give it a degree of credibility. The lack of credibility ship and the losers aboard it sailed a LONG time ago.
While it would be nice if we could fully dismiss the financial, political, and media charlatans within the supposed spheres of influence along both our coasts, I strongly sense that more and more Americans increasingly tune them out and are getting ready to vote them out. Let the clowns living in The Twilight Zone think that crony capitalism might be the new order of the day in America.
I would rather cast my lot with Larry Eckhardt. Who’s he? If truth, transparency, and integrity are to have a chance in America we need to dismiss the likes of Larry Summers and others of his ilk and embrace the simple American spirit of Larry Eckhardt.
Take the 2 minutes and learn of Larry’s story. Take another 2-minutes and ponder it and juxtapose it to the incest that is deeply embedded within the revolving doors of Washington and New York.
If you like Larry Eckhardt’s spirit, then share his story and then . . . navigate accordingly.
