Meta’s Quest 3 Announcement Makes It Official: Apple Is Living Rent-Free in Mark Zuckerberg’s Head
There was no reason to try to get in front of what Apple might announce on Monday.

If Apple doesn’t introduce a VR headset of some kind on Monday, a lot of people will be very surprised. There have been rumors and reports that Apple is preparing to release a high-end device with much better displays and a much higher price tag than we’ve seen in other consumer headsets. More telling is that Apple hasn’t done anything to dispel those rumors ahead of its WWDC keynote.
However, I don’t think anyone would be more surprised than Mark Zuckerberg, who is so sure that the world’s largest company is about to drop something that he felt compelled to pre-announce that the Meta Quest 3 is coming sometime this fall. I say “pre-announce” because Meta didn’t really say much about it except that it will have the “highest resolution display” yet in a Quest headset, along with a “next-generation Snapdragon chipset.” Oh, and it will cost $499.
