Please note that when we look at the futures, they're not going to match up with the indexes exactly, but they'll still move pretty much the same way.
The Nasdaq: everybody's off their highs — it's red. The Russell is red. The S&P is flat. The Dow is still green, having a good old time. Europe is happy too — the DAX is having a good time. The Nikkei is not, but that's because the yen sucks right now.
Yen Intervention and Currency Reserves
Look at the yen — this is where we had a big intervention this weekend. They got about 2% out of it, but that's already fading, as expected.
The intervention started over the weekend — money went in around July 31st. According to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's notepad, which they made a big show of displaying to make sure everyone knew we were intervening, the U.S.
