Interview: David Melancon And The Millennial Generation
Last night, I had the pleasure of interviewing David Melancon about the upcoming millennial generation. As I discussed yesterday, the aging "baby boomer" demographic will become a burden upon the Millennials as they support a top-heavy social welfare structure.
As David discussed during the interview, most Millennials do not plan on having Social Security available for them. Furthermore, they think very differently about home and car ownership, how they save and invest and where and what they shop for.
More educated than any other generation before them, but also with much more student debt, they are a very different generation in how they work, socialize and where they place importance in their lives. David and I discuss not only how employers need to change they way think about Millennials, but also how they maximize the technology infused generation.
