Elected just four months ago, Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, who won largely on his promise to prosecute former President Donald Trump for any serious crimes he committed in New York. Bragg’s predecessor, Cyrus Vance Jr., had already secured indictments against the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, mainly for income tax evasion.

But the organization’s longtime Chief Executive Officer, Donald Trump, had not yet been indicted. The two lead prosecutors, Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz resigned about ten days ago, clearly in frustration over what they perceived as Bragg’s foot-dragging over asking the grand jury to indict Trump.

Alvin Bragg Refuses To Make Resignation Letters Public

Bragg refused to make their resignation letters public on the grounds that they might contain confidential information, the disclosure of which might hinder prosecution of the case. If you believe that, then boy do I have a bridge to sell you!

After some digging by New York Times and Daily Beast reporters, it has been disclosed that Dunne and Pomerantz were especially upset that Bragg could not be bothered even to read their memos about the case against Trump. One might ask what the Manhattan DA was doing in his office all day.

A few days ago, Bragg sent out an email blast about the great job he was doing, but somehow neglecting to mention what will arguably be the most important case that will ever come before him – a case which could lead to the conviction of Trump for having committed some very serious crimes. On Wednesday, Valuewalk published Bragg’s email and my own reply.

So, what can we do to have Alvin Bragg removed from office? You can write to Governor Hochul at her website: https://www.governor.ny.gov/content/governor-contact-form
